COST Action Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) allow scientists to learn from an institution or laboratory in another COST country – a concept of particular interest to young scientists (PhD students, Post-docs). Our team has applied and benefit from such experience!

Chen Zhang (February 2021) visited Dr. Sara Zenoni’s lab at University of Verona to learn on benchworking of the DAP-Seq protocol.

Luis Orduña (March 2021) visited Dr. Anne Francoise Adam-Blondon’s lab at URGI-INRAE Versailles (Unité de Recherche Génomique Info- French National Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment) to learn how to build JBrowser tracks and visualize DAP-seq data next to genome annotation tracks.

David Navarro (June 2021) visited Dr. Camille Rustenholz’ lab (Grapevine Genomics, INRAE Colmar, France) to assist in gene annotation pipelines fro the upcoming PN40024.v4 genome sequence. He also contributed to setup the guidelines of the Working Group Meeting on Gene Annotation using Apollo which was celebrated in 13-18th June 2021 in Colmar.
